    créer un projet d échange Le directeur artistique de Viafarini Simone Frangi et le commissaire invité par le CAB Vincent Verlé ont choisi respectivement deux artistes italiens et deux artistes français pour construire un projet double capable de croiser les recherches artistiques respectives des commissaires et des artistes invités Au Centre d art bastille le choix du commissaire s est porté sur Jacopo Miliani et Alessandro di Pietro Le travail de Jacopo Miliani se développe principalement à travers des installations photographies et performances Sa recherche questionne le rôle des systèmes de représentation propres aux processus cognitif et empirique et analyse ainsi la relation complexe entre les images et leur forme de représentation Alessandro Di Pietro considérant les limites de sa propre action comme la seule façon d agir produit en continu des variations à l intérieur de ces limites utilisant à chaque fois un processus différent de création Il s engage ainsi dans un protocole qui lui délivre des règles limitant son expression et instaurant une mécanique purement spéculative de travail Cette répétition lui permet de mettre en place de nouveaux paysages concrets et de développer une sorte de géographie empirique établi par des actes tels que sa présence ou son passage en un lieu physique Le projet qu ils développent pour le centre d art bastille joue du métissage de leurs recherches et des formes qu ils pratiquent sculpture photographie installation et vidéo autour des notions de présence et d absence Il se construira pas à pas pendant les dix jours de leur résidence au cab permettant ainsi l écriture d un récit commun inédit Jacopo Miliani est né en 1979 à Florence Italie il vit et travaille à Milan Italie Alessandro Di Pietro est né en 1987 à Messine Italie il vit et travaille à Milan Italie Mikaël
