    master s degree program organized by a consortium including three top class European universities and Three non european universities Pedagogy Three principle tracks are proposed to students 1 International track taught in English This International Master s Course in Materials Science and Engineering is a program aimed at pre paring qualified graduates to deal with contemporary challenges of intellectual and societal importance in the fundamental science of materials and engineering through innovative solutions The aim is to provide international students a high level of training in the field of materials by providing them basic lessons in physics chemistry and structure of matter These bases are used to address more specialized courses during the second year An important part is allowed to the case studies and projects in research teams This training is also open to students from French universities who wish to get ready to perform internships with longer duration in foreign laboratories or even perform a PhD in Europe or outside Europe 2 French track taught in French with some courses taught in English The French track aims to offer a further study in materials science and engineering for students from French universities and institutions having bachelor s degree L3 in Engineering Physics or Chemistry or related fields During the first year the aim is to provide students a high level of training in the field of materials by providing them basic lessons in physics chemistry mechanics and structure of matter These bases are used to address more specialized courses during the second year The second year of the master proposes a common core which is completed by courses in one of the three areas Polymers Biomaterials Physical Chemistry of Materials and Structural materials 3 Apprenticeship training track taught in French Apprenticeship training is unique in France and allows students from license bachelor s degree to pursue by learning over a period of two years and graduated with a Masters in Materials Science and Engineering The objective is to provide a first year training to enable students to approach the basics of materials science management tools and knowledge of the world of business During the second year two specializations are proposed Materials surfaces and Management Advanced Materials and Management Strengths The international and French tracks intends students for thesis prosecution in French and international academic laboratories Applicants may also continue their studies in other countries with identified partners of the future Erasmus Plus program This training will open the opportunity to become leaders in major research projects in industrial R D or academic research as well as for the creation of high tech companies Research projects in industrial R D possibly after thesis CIFRE Academic research projects following a PhD Great Developments on Instruments Creation of high tech companies Trades valuation and technology transfer Scientific Mediation The objective of the apprenticeship training is to train project managers in Materials for manufacturing This program allows students to enter directly into the professional world Research Projects Industrial R T Project leader
