more attractive technically Good feelings during warmup no pain no fire legs but I ll be enough The first part went well I got right into the map with good agressivity as much in my map reading than in the running and I have good times 6th at the 5th control 8th at the 6th This first part downhill allows very fast running speed Just a small hesitation to notice out the 5th control Then we left fields to enter a camping area with small cottages and I go down in the ranking but my orienteering is still ok Well done sprint Then I come to the 12th control spectator way through the arena at the Falun ski jumping stadium with a huge and noisy crowd and then the first bad thing A the map exchange I throw my map and begin the steep uphill in the stairs I look at my feets and try to be efficient with my uphill steps to go fast and don t lose energy but I forget to take the new map which was in a box in the middle of the stairs Under the organisators scream I turn back go down take it and continue my race A bit less than 10 seconds lost but also fluentcy and energy which I ll miss the rest of the race I make quickly a choice for the 13th but a bit too quick because on this control with the map episode I finally lost 24 seconds on the best time More than a third of the time lost to the best at the end of the race I feel that my choice is bad but I think that is the energy loss which makes me run slower The end of the race go without any

of the terrain the steepness of the uphill and the coursesetter s wish of makins us climb them all Course wasn t that hard not middle distance style with long parts in open area with low vegetation so with my shape I must say I didn t have much pleasure during the race and not even a small good feeling Added to three bad controls in a row 7th little deivation the 8th with 30sec mistake not succeed to read the relief in a low vegetation area and the 9th where I struggled physically very much without any power at all Andreas Kyburz catched me on the way to 14th and proof of my bad shape I couldn t follow him whereas I m usually able to do it at least not being outrun He finished 45 seconds more before me I saw him most of the time except after the bridge where I ran by myself and lost ten more seconds In brief a real nightmare making it more difficult by the fact that without major difficulties nobody did big mistakes and I finished very low in the ranking It happens this race at least make me concentrate again

yes or no the race will go through the hospital because of ambulances or things like that where runners can cause problems Finally first control in forest and then straight to the hospital The two controls there weren t difficult but the amount of forbidden areas and uncrossable hedges on the map make it difficult to read There was a trap at the 4th control with the way out from

is a club at my level I don t feel too much pressure and that allows me to do good races and win my coaches and teammates trust But I d like to go from correct to very good races to show them when I can do Theo how did you handle your race after your injury Concentration routechoices When I twisted my ankle I thought I would be good after some seconds but it didn t and I twited it several times again I then slowed down little by little trying not to jump or run on rocky ground and pushing on just one leg The concentration wasn t very good my only goal was to put my foot on a right place so the map reading was very bad I surprised myself not to read the map for long periods but still manage not do big mistakes I was just slow I took safer route choices on tracks but I didn t care anymore to have a good race or to go fast I just wanted to be back Theo are you mad against your teammate for being MP I m not mad at him but I m
