the French Team had decided to gather to continue winter training With the sun shining and friendly temperatures the weekend started with a sprint in the nice town of Sisteron which had held the French Sprint Championships in 2009 Including a lot of uphill running this sprint was tough both physically and technically the town being well known for its intricate network of streets offering plenty of route choices It is definitely one of the best places to run sprint in France Thierry Gueorgiou won the race what a surprise None of the JOG members had the legs to threaten him and they did not orienteer very well either A middle distance was then on the schedule on the map of Vilhosc and its numerous ravines which break the running rythm and make the runners be exhausted faster than they would like On the junior course Olivier showed his skills with a time of 26minutes and proved that he really is in good shape In the evening a night training was organized around our accomodation Chante l Oiseau in Sigonce which is to recommend I decided to skip this training because of a small pain in my right knee This

Théo Lucas and Olivier were ready to fight with the famous terrains of Larzac Program took place as follow Sprint in Millau city Middle on the Fagéole map Larzac plateau Night training still on Fagéole Dimanche Long distance around La Couvertoirade After a first stop to catch Lucas in front of the train station of Valence we ridded the sunny Mediterranean Coast before drived back up the mountain until the foggy country of Millau Here no surprise cold and rain welcomed us We forgot about South coast sun In spite of the weather we took ready for the sprint The race in the city was quiet fun and not too hard technically nor too long for once It was exactly the kind of warm up we need after a training less finals exam week Without waiting we moved to the middle start We were all happy and exciting to run on this map but results were not as good as expected Hopefully fun was here and Night O three circuits gave us opportunity to work technically and to correct our previous mistakes After 2 or 3 loop depending of the motivation we moved to our one night accommodation and the

coach Kenneth Buch Weekend began with a sprint in the small village of Besse With an interesting part in the old town and the rest around less technical this sprint has shown what is needed to succeed in international competitions as I was in perfect shape the physical course finished to kill me Good news for the rest of the weekend A closed road in one of the routechoice and a not so nice worker made the sprint even harder but finally Vincent Coupat was the fastest by the men as Annika Billstam swedish world long distance champion won by the women Later in the afternoon was the time for going back in the famous Clermont cheires a middle distance in Aydat very technical tough not so green a nice one JOG runners went pretty well with the 3rd 4th and 5th places for Olivier Théo and Lucas behind Thierry and Philippe Isia won the Junior class and we won t speak about my race Instead of a night training the evening was the time for the big annual meeting and all is english this year as new coach Kenneth is danish English 3 hours long and it s hard
