    technically still with a first part held in a campsite with forbidden hedges and a second part in the old village 20 minutes driving away from Grez a middle distance took place right after the sprint We were offered the choice to run it with or without paths on the map and all the JOG members Theo Lucas and Olivier proudly chose to take the simplified map The terrain was typical from Fontaineableau area with several huge boulders and many re entrants but fern was present all over the map sometimes reaching the height of 1 50m which made it harder to read the maps and slowed down the runners speed The absence of paths on the map added an extra difficulty It s not always pleasant to run 10 meters away from a big track and get caught in a green area instead of running full speed The course setting made in Fontainebleau was as usual a bit too long and offered unofficial legs zigzagging all over the map After the middle distance the bravest of us Theo and Olivier went out in the forest again to pick up the controls by night in small groups which enabled a

    Martin Fourcade and his brother Simon Biathlon French Team members who where training too Everybody enjoy this nice day to train in the mountains The first training was a technical one prepared by Théo There were 4 different downhill circuits in some tricky areas and between all of them a short uphill to go back to the start point After that we took some time to take pictures and make video coming soon promise in a wonderful giant cave The lunch was quick but animated by a cake contest But nobody won this first stage because Lenka said that all of them were delicious The second training was an 11km long distance prepared by Olivier with some shortcut possibilities of course That was a true one and those who ran it completely finished in the dark Then the nicest part of the week end was coming 18h10 time for an underground trip in La grotte de l Ours literally bear s cave but obviously we didn t meet anyone 1h30 in the darkness creeping into some very small tracks and tunnels was fun What an awesome feeling when turn off you flash light stay immobile in the dark and listen

    french Jura our Tour de France All the athletes from junior and senior French team can participate to those WE and they are always a good way to work on technical points during the winter and to run with other runners Moreover this WE was the first one for the French team new trainer Kenneth Buch We were fast 40 with a big amount of M20 The blue sky which has welcomed us in Lamoura for the first training was nice to begin the WE A corridor a follow the line and a memory exercise were planned to understand the mapping and the terrain before going at high speed Then we made a middle distance M21 4 8km M20 4 3km 15p W21 W20 3 9km 16p at full speed on a nice map To end the day a night orienteering without paths and walls with 8 km for the bravest On Saturday morning we went to Chapelle des Bois for the all day The first training was a chasse patate potatoes hunt a relay exercise in order to stay with the leading group There were three sections 8 9 km M21 7 2 km M20 W21 We ate in
